Costs

At Manoah House, we are proud to offer superior accommodation facilities to all our residents. All our rooms are private rooms for one resident only. None are shared. The maximum occupancy we allow for each room is one person.

Each room has its own ensuite bathroom, which comprises a shower, basin and toilet. Our rooms have an internal area ranging from 27 sqm to 40 sqm each, including the bathroom. We believe that this is larger than most comparable aged care facilities offer. And offers a better value proposition than our competitors.

They all have a wide door for easy access by wheelchair. They all have individual remote control split system air conditioning, and all have access from the room to our gardens, and some have individual courtyards, and most have a small kitchenette.

From each room, our residents have easy access to a large dining area and our spacious and light Activity room, as well as our more secluded and private lounge and dining area. In addition, we provide all hotel services required under the Quality of Care Principles 1997 regarding bedding, cleaning, toiletry goods, meals & refreshments, social activities, etc.

All of our rooms are priced the same.

The maximum refundable deposit we charge is $550,000.
We stress that this is the maximum amount. Depending on the resident’s care profile, this amount may be negotiable.

There are also other options available, for instance, periodical payment or a combination of a lump sum deposit and a periodical payment may be selected by the resident.

One example is a 50% split, i.e. paying off a $230,000 lump sum, the DAP would be at current interest rates of $57.33 per day. Please note daily payments are accounted for daily but collected from the resident monthly.

All Residents have to pay a minimum of 85% of the single person pension daily, which is the same for all residents in Aged Care in Australia. Some residents have to pay a Means-Tested Care Fee as well, which goes to paying for your cost of care; this is assessed and set by Services Australia.
